I spend a lot of my free time modifying cars and trucks. The biggest project right now is 2Jag, a 1970 Jaguar E-Type roadster I’m rebuilding as a 2JZ-powered restomod. Alongside it there’s always something going on with the 4Runner.
Super Duty headache rack
I built a custom headache rack for my F-350. I didn’t like any of the commercial ones, and I wanted something that fit closely without covering the third brake light or the bed camera.
It’s fabricated from .120 wall steel tube with some 1/4” angle and flat bar, and sized to clear the transfer tank and toolbox in the bed. It holds the switches for the transfer tank’s fuel pump and the toolbox lights, plus reverse and scene lights that run from an upfitter switch in the cab. The finished rack was powder coated.
